| Capturing the relationships between dogs and their humans, brides and grooms, and earth and its people, Lauren documents with passion, clarity, and warmth the reality of the world around her. A graduate of New York University with a B.A. in Anthropology, Lauren has studied photography’s technical and theoretical aspects under the tutelage of some of today’s great documentary and fine art photographers at Parsons School of Design, NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, the International Center of Photography, and the Eddie Adams Workshops. After graduation she completed an internship with National Geographic where she then worked in their documentary TV division. She continued focusing on a documentary/fine-art perspective in her photographic work intertwined with her academic training in anthropology. An award winning photographer, Lauren’s photographs have appeared in all the major wedding magazines as well as The Bark, AKC Family Dog, The New York Times, Newsweek, and New Science; numerous book covers through her stock agency; and have twice been selected by jury for publication in the renowned American Photography 10 & 17.
